About

Hi, Friends!
Welcome to Find a Friend podcast: a brand-new podcast for the insatiably curious.

final-find-a-friend-podcast-cover-v22-4Authentic. Real. Genuine. Let’s face it. We’re inherently nosy. Call it curious, call it inquisitive, call it kooky. Find a Friend podcast is a podcast for those that have ever wondered HOW DOES SHE DO IT!? (Or he… we’ll have some male guests too!).  I truly believe all of us has the power to achieve extraordinary things and every week we’ll find a friend and feature a professional, entrepreneur, or creative who’s doing something neat-o with their 24 hours in a day! We’re each great at different things, and we’ll be having some real and open conversations with people who are kickin’ butt to see how they’ve accomplished their goals.  I hope along the way you feel inspired by their stories to try that new thing, encouraged to ask for help when you’re not sure how to do something, or simply learn something new as you use this podcast as white noise at work. After all, Life’s Better When You Find a Friend!

New episodes release on Tuesdays!

About the host: Hi all! My name is Monique and for those that don’t know me, I’ve always been the oddball introvert with her nose in a book (probably a biography about FDR or King Henry VIII). I studied abroad in Italy in undergrad, which I credit to igniting my curious internal nomad to go go go. I graduated with a degree in communications and decided I didn’t want to adult like everyone else was so I booked a one way ticket to Dublin, where I lived for a year on a Working Holiday Visa. I then did grad school in London, where I studied social media, culture and society. I’ve come full-circle and live back in Houston now, where I was born and raised. Like many Houstonians, I now spend my days hustlin’ in the oil and gas industry, working in marketing. I love traveling and I’m so grateful to have a career that lets me do just that! When I’m not traveling, I spend my free time on the hunt for new coffee spots, the perf red blend, and recipes that will impress my friends at dinner parties.
